The company is creating a new delegate department which will be responsible for contacting business owners within niche industries to find out if they would like free tickets to a forthcoming exhibition / conference.

Experience is not required, as full training is provided.

This role has fantastic career progression, as the best people will be promoted through the company into the Exhibition Stand sales department.

We are looking for part time and full time people and in addition to the basic salary, there are bonuses for good workload.

SALES LEDGER AND CREDIT CONTROLLER

Salary: £18k to £20k
Location: Bristol (BS1)

Due to significant growth and an internal re-organisation, we are now seeking an experienced professional with a commercial background to manage our Sales Ledger / credit Control Function in our Bristol City Centre head office.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • SAGE 50 experience
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
  • General accounting and book keeping skills and experience

SALES LEDGER DAILY TASKS

  • Check that sales order forms received from Sales Staff are completed correctly and have been signed off by the customer
  • Double check that all calculations are correct and that the correct price per square metre has been used
  • Investigate and clarify any irregular items with Sales Staff
  • Raise pro-forma invoices on SAGE and send out to customers electronically
  • Record all pro-forma invoices on “Show Ledger” spreadsheet
  • Record due date on the ledger
  • Record all receipts made either electronically or by cheque or cash
  • Convert pro-forma invoices to Sales invoices and send to customers
  • Move items in Ledger from unpaid to paid
  • Record the receipts on SAGE
  • Update management on cash received as required
  • Prepare bank lodgement sheets and take to bank when required
  • Provide ad hoc management information
  • Refer cancellations to Sales Team once notified by customers
  • Record cancellations on Ledger and SAGE when confirmed by Sales Team
  • File the sales orders by show
  • Process credit card payments (SAGEPAY in FEX)

CREDIT CONTROL

  • Review outstanding amounts once receipts have been posted
  • Agreed terms on Pro Forma invoice are recorded on Ledger
  • Follow up phone call to confirm customer has received within 7 days
  • Reminder e-mail sent 7 days before it falls due for payment
  • Follow up phone call within 3 days of due date
  • Ensure all payments are received prior to show
  • Investigate and resolve any issues that customers may raise concerning invoices
  • All communication is recorded on show spreadsheet
