Emma Webber, Marketing Executive

17/10/2017

We love the diversity of our team! Every employee is unique, talented and plays an integral role within the company. A job at PRYSM attracts people from all across the globe, including our lovely Emma Webber (far right), who is one of our Marketing Executives. We wanted to have a chat with her and listen to what she had to say about herself and her time at PRYSM:

Tell us a bit about yourself, as well as your life before and outside of PRYSM.
I am originally from the west coast of Canada, I grew up on a small island off the west coast of Vancouver but always wanted to live overseas and because of dual citizenship through my Dad, England seemed like a great fit! I like to get out into the countryside as much as I can and have made it my personal mission to try and visit every pub in Bristol - it would be rude not to right?!

When did you join PRYSM and why?
I joined PRYSM in January 2017 as I was looking to get out of my previous industry and wanted to work towards something that could lead to a career. A friend of mine was able to get me an interview and I haven’t looked back!

What do you think you have achieved whilst working at PRYSM?
PRYSM has given me a huge boost in confidence and an unbelievable new set of skills. I came into the company with no previous experience for the roll that I am in now, but as a company, there is a great culture of seeing raw skills in people and allowing them to progress and develop into areas throughout the business.

What else would you like to achieve at PRYSM?
Given the chance I would love the opportunity to take the lead on a campaign and run my own show for a full twelve months, and have an awesome team to help me do it. Seeing a show go from a set of ideas on your screen, to seeing the event hall full on the show days knowing you had a hand in building it is a great feeling.

Has working at PRYSM helped you develop any skills?
I have developed my skills in marketing, digital marketing, social media, sales and team management through my time here. I have also had a chance to try and wrap my head around Excel but I am still very far from an expert!

Finally, what is your favourite part about working here?
I love the vibe of the business. Everyone genuinely cares about the shows they are working on and is so determined to make them a success. Working with people who have the same goal and motivation is hugely important. The people are some of the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I don’t know if I would have found the opportunities that I have had here anywhere else.
